We were excited to be invited to Mount Holyoke Fimbel Maker and Innovation Lab’s 2023 Makers Faire. The event took place on Race Street in Holyoke on October 14th, 2023, from 9:30AM-5PM. We set up ParKit between Smith’s Design Thinking Initiative and a chainsaw carving stand. The street was filled with families walking between booths and many kids gravitated towards ParKit, giving their parents an opportunity to chat. We played countless games of connect4, chess, and cornhole with newfound friends. The inflatable couch was particularly popular. This was ParKit’s longest deployment in our history and our most populated. The co-occurrence of the Great Holyoke Brick Race with the Makers Faire likely drew in more attendants.
